About Louis, the Founder

A journey from land to sea, from passion to purpose.

In 2005, while traversing the rugged landscapes of Bolivia alone, I discovered photography. What began as a simple desire to preserve fleeting moments evolved into something far more profound. By 2010, I had transformed this passion into my profession, finding deep fulfillment in the ability of images to evoke emotion and convey stories that words alone cannot express.

It was during a transformative road trip through Southern Africa in 2008 that my life's trajectory truly shifted. There, I encountered the ocean in a way that forever altered my perspective. Descending beneath the waves for the first time, I experienced sensations entirely new to me—weightlessness, profound serenity, and overwhelming wonder. The underwater world became my meditation sanctuary. In 2017, I finally merged my two passions, bringing my camera beneath the surface to document this hidden realm that few ever truly see.

Then came the moment that redefined everything: the birth of my daughter in 2021. Fatherhood didn't just change my priorities—it transformed my vision. My perspective expanded beyond myself and my work toward the legacy we're creating for future generations. I found myself confronting essential questions: How could I channel my artistic vision toward meaningful change? What role could I play in protecting our oceans?

This questioning became the genesis of my mission.

Through the lens of my camera, I seek to reconnect humanity with the underwater world—a realm that remains invisible to most, yet fundamentally sustains all life on Earth. I firmly believe that awe, beauty, and emotional connection drive change more effectively than fear or guilt. By touching hearts, I can inspire minds. By helping people truly feel the ocean's magnificence, I can motivate them to act in its defense.

I don't claim scientific expertise—my strength lies in storytelling. I'm a perpetually curious observer, an image-creator who believes in art's transformative power. This initiative emerged from my conviction that emotional connection precedes meaningful action—that by revealing what lies beneath the surface, we can inspire a collective commitment to preservation.
